The Jeju Red Dragon 2018 Main Event created history last night as Day 1B’s 237 entrants along with the 376 from Day 1A created a pool of 613 – the largest Main Event field in Korean history. India’s Sumit Sapra is among the players advancing to Day 2, and comes back with a comfortable stack of 87,000 at 1,000/2,000 (300). Play has already begun and we wish Sumit the best of luck!

The event recorded a massive prize pool of ₩1.226 million (~US$1.1 million), with the title and a cool ₩266,060,000 (~US$237,700) reserved for the winner. Hao Qi Xie will fancy his chances as he comes back as overall chip leader, but there’s plenty of poker left before we find a champion.

Day 2 will see 9 one-hour levels being played out amongst the surviving 234 runners, each chasing the massive first place payday and place in poker history. Team India will surely be right behind Sumit, let bring it home!
