Chips aren’t the only way to double up on the felts! Here’s a look at poker players who found their life partners on the felts.

Poker is all about ‘double-ups’. But off late, the ‘double-ups’ are a bit different! Players who set out with the intention of doubling up their bankrolls ended up ‘doubling-up’ in life! Take Live Boeree and Igor Kurganov for example. The power duo won tag team bracelets together! Maria Lampropoulos and Ivan Luca faced each other heads-up in the same event together. Maria Ho and Rainer Kempe won back-to-back events, doubling up in poker and life!

Then we have the powerhouse duo of Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell who won back-to-back events in the same festival faced each other heads-up in an event and wait for it… won matching GPI rankings in the same year! Some couple goals!

With the felts turning from green to red, we bring to you another love story for the poker power couple history books. Last year’s PSPC runner-up Julien Martini of France took down the $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo event for $239,771, defeating American Kate Hoang, who won $148,150.

Usually, heads-up battles are bittersweet since one is denying the other a major chunk of the winning. But in this case, Martini didn’t just win a bracelet, but a partner for life! The couple has decided to go all-in this year! Now that’s a sweet ‘double’-up!

Well sharpen those pick-up lines; you never know when you will ‘double’-up on the felts!
