Two days ago, PokerBaazi’s flagship event, the Game Changer 4.0 INR 2 Crores GTD came to an end. With a total of 3,990 entries across 4 days of flights, the tournament lived up to it’s fan favourite status. A total of 463 players survived the flights and made it to Day 2 to fight for the massive guarantee. It took 8 hours of intense poker play and grind for us to finally have a champion!
Jaikiran ‘testify’ Kumar shipped the Game Changer 4.0 and wrote his name down in PokerBaazi history books as the Game Changer with the likes of Siddhanth Kripalani, Prashanth Sekar and Shagun Jain! He earned himself a payout of INR 33,16,000 Lakhs making this the biggest payout of his career!
In an interview with the champion himself, the 27 year old, B-Tech engineer from Vellore Institute of Technology told us that he got into poker like everyone else- by playing Zynga Poker.
He also mentioned that growing up he was always very competitive while playing sports and always wanted to win! During his early poker days, he started off small by playing INR 100 buy-in home games, which increased over time and moved onto playing live in Bangalore poker clubs.

Coming back to the Game Changer victory, Jaikiran started off Day 2 with a 50 big blind stack. He told us that he was confident about making a deep run in this massive tournament. He started off playing tight and going aggressive during the latter stages of the tournament.
Talking about his toughest competitors during the Game Changer final table, Jaikiran mentioned Raman ‘ifryu’ Gujral (3rd place cash for INR 16,14,000) and the fact that he was chip leading for a long time. He said that the final table was not the greatest, as a matter of fact, it was soft according to him.
A crucial hand where he hit two-pair on the flop against top pair and won a huge pot was the turning point that titled the tide in his favour! Talking about his biggest supporters and influences, ‘testify’ mentioned the never ending support of his parents and the fact that they’ve never had any problems with him chasing his dream of playing poker.
He mentioned the likes of popular streamer and player, Bencb, poker pro and coach Jonathan Little and Aditya Agarwal as his role models from the poker fraternity.
Talking about his future, the Game Changer said that all he wants to do is continue playing the game, studying to improve himself and get better at poker. He regards studying and putting in the required volume as two of the most important things for any player wanting to pursue poker.
