Boxing legend Vijender Singh announced ‘Brand Ambassador’ of


In what could only be called a level-up for the Indian poker community, unrivalled boxer Vijender Singh has joined hands with as Brand Ambassador on 22nd January, 2018.

Singh, born October 29th 1985, is an Indian professional boxer and currently holds the WBO (World Boxing Organization) Asia Pacific Super Middleweight as well as the WBO Oriental Super Middleweight titles. The association with the superstar puts poker more prominently on the maps as a mind sport based on talent and skill.

As a sportsperson, it is always an honour for me to be part of campaigns or associate with brands that endeavour to promote sports in the nation. In his early years, Vijender Singh’s talent was recognized by his coach Jagdish Singh at the Bhiwani Boxing Club in Haryana. After coasting through the Nationals, Vijender was picked to compete at International level competitions such as the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics and 2006 Commonwealth Games. He won the gold at the 2006 Asian Games held in Doha and also took home the first ever Olympic Medal for an Indian boxer at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. He holds a professional record of 10 wins / 0 losses and 7 wins by KO.
