Shagun Jain wins PokerBaazi’s GameChanger for a whopping 40+ LAC!

Edition 2 in the books!’s GameChanger creates history yet again! While its first Edition smashed and almost doubled the advertised Guarantee of INR 2 Crore earlier this year, this time around the event went on to record the largest playing field in the country – 4796 entries!

The buy-in of the event was reduced by 50%, and the revised INR 5,500 entry fee was all it took for a shot at the massive 2 Crore prize pool. This allowed a larger field of players to enter the event, thus producing an opportunity for more players across the country to cash in on a big score. After 5 days of high octane action on the virtual felts, it was Jaipur’s Shagun “sogani22” Jain who emerged victorious, winning the title along with a mammoth payday of INR 40,78,998!

Day 2

The four starting flights produced a total of 431 survivors, each of who resumed action on Day 2 of the event at 6PM yesterday – with all eyes on the top prize of INR 40+ LAC. Plenty of pros made it to the Final Day, but as the field reduced, so did the big names. The final two tables had notables in Prashanth Sekar (GameChanger Winner Feb’19), Sikander Rajwade (Runner up – GameChanger Feb’19) and Ratul Steves (Winner – Value Bomb), and of the three if was just Steves who managed to find his way to the Final Table, with Sekar and Rajwade finishing their impressive back to back runs in 12th and 11th place respectively.

The Final 9

It took almost 6 hours of play on Day 2 before the Final Table was formed. Each player remaining was possibly playing their biggest Final Table yet – so nerves were definitely being tested. It took 2 hours before the game was down to heads up, and Shagun closed the tournament in style! The final hand of Heads up saw him call off his opponent’s bluff with 4th pair (pocket 3s) while his opponent showed a pair of deuces – and that was that!
