The 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona €101,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em super high roller event, attracted 48 entries that included some of the best players on the planet. It was 28-year-old American Poker Pro Jake Schindler who outlasted the field to walk away with the title as well as a cool €1,750,000 for his efforts.
Schindler entered the final day of this event as the chip leader with 11 players remaining. Eight-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Erik Seidel was the first player to bust after making the money. This was Seidel’s second high roller final table finish in three days, having finished 3rd in a €25,000 buy-in event earlier this series.
Bryn Kenney, Jason Koon and Noel Thorel were all sent home in similar fashion with decent payouts. It was eventually Stephen Chidwick who remained for a heads up battle against Jake Schindler for the title. However, even Chidwick – who has had an incredible year so far – was unable to stop Schindler and he had to settle for runner-up.
A look at the final table payouts:
1.Jake Schindler – €1,750,000
2.Stephen Chidwick – €1,100,000
3.Jean-Noel Thorel – €726,000
4.Jason Koon – €500,000
5.Bryn Kenney – €340,000
6.Erik Seidel – €240,000
This was the second largest live tournament score of Schindler’s career behind only his second-place finish in the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl for $3.6 million. Schindler now joins the top twenty on the all-time money list with nearly $17.8 Million in live earnings over his career. He currently stands in 19th place. This was his eighth final table finish of the year and his third title!
