Jake Schindler Wins Shrpo High Roller For $800k
The 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) is one of North America’s premier poker events. Their famed ‘Big 4’ witnessed four final tables being broadcast simultaneously and the $25500 High Roller tournament was one of them. The event featured a total of 123 players and a monstrous prize pool of $3,136,500.
With so many gunners for the top prize, the event was no piece of cake. It was after two full days of play that Jake Schindler succeeded to capture the $800,758 top prize.
“I got good cards, made mostly right decisions and it worked out,” said Schindler after his win and beating the world’s hottest player, Shaun Deeb, heads up!
The win moved Schindler up to $20,881,255 in lifetime earnings.

Heads up play saw the chip lead fluctuate between the two, and in the final hand Deeb shoved all in holding pocket tens and got a call from Schindler’s king-queen. A queen on the flop put Schindler in the lead, and with the turn and river bricking out for Deeb, Shindler took home the title and the spoils of $534,989.
Although Deeb finished second, he has enjoyed a tremendous year so far and leads the way in the 2018 WSOP Player of the Year race. He secured his third WSOP gold bracelet earlier this year and has recorded $3,085,451 in winnings thus far in 2018.
