Matt Shepsky Takes Down Chicago Poker Classic Main Event for $195,367

The Chicago Poker Classic (CPC) has been underway at the Horseshoe Hammond Casino – Located 20 Minutes from Chicago – for over a week and finally came to a conclusion with the $2,000 buy-in main event guaranteed at an incredible $1 Million.
It was Matt Shepsky who maneuvered through 646 entries over the course of 3 days to come out on top and clinch the 2018 CPC Main Event Title and take home a generous $195,367 as well as a brand new BMW car for his efforts!
Shepsky entered Heads-Up play with a commanding 4:1 Chip Lead against Eddie Blumenthal. However he had a bad start and was in serious danger of losing all his chips at one point. Shepsky managed to keep a cool head and turn things around eventually to take the title.

“I usually feel good heads up and then I was like, ‘What the hell’s going on? I can’t win a hand here.’ And then, it ended up working out at the end,” he stated after the win.
