Triton Series Founder Richard Yong Ships Montenegro 6-Max Event for $388,030

Richard Yong cut through a field of 35 entries that included some of the toughest poker pros in the world to take down the HKD$250,000 buy-in 6-max event for a cool HKD $3.1 Million  or USD 388,030.

Richard Yong is one of the creators of the Triton Super High Roller Series which was first introduced in 2016. This is Yong’s first win since its inception. He had to overcome a tough final table that included Issac Haxton, Winfred Yu and others. Yong came out on top of Steve O’ Dwyer heads-up to clinch the title.

The first event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Montenegro was taken down by poker legend Phil Ivey. It was also the first ever live Short Deck tournament.

Ivey maneuvered through a field of 61 entries and a tough final table that included the likes of Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates, Jason Koon, and Wai Kin Yong to clinch the title as well as $604,977 for his efforts.

Ivey also came 3rd in the $127,000 (HKD $1 Million) Short Deck Ante-Only event that saw a turnout of 103 to create a massive prize pool of $12,344,397 (HKD $96,902,400) – the largest ever for a Triton tournament.
