The National Poker Series Day 1 Round-Up!

The National Poker Series worth INR 15 Crores GTD kicked-off yesterday on PokerBaazi and it’s time to look back at who made the biggest impact on Day 1 of the NPS! 

  • NPS#1 NPS KICK-OFF 50 LAC GTD (FLIGHT 1A)

The first event of the NPS was the Flight 1A of the Kick-Off 50L GTD multi-flight tournament. Flight 1A received a total of 781 entries and only 94 survivors were able to make their way through 27 levels and earn their spots in Day 2!

Anonymous player, ‘vedprakash923’ ended Flight 1A with the chip lead with a stack of 3.17L in chips. Another anonymous player, ‘Amei’ finished second in chips with a stack of 3.02L! Let’s take a look at the Top 10 finishers from Flight 1A of the Kick-Off event:

  • NPS#2 NPS GOLDEN RUSH 1 CR GTD (FLIGHT 1A)

The second event of the day was none other than the NPS Golden Rush 1CR. GTD Flight 1A! The first flight of the high value tournament received a total of 1995 entries from which 260 players were able to survive 27 levels and earn their spots on the all important Day 2 of the Golden Rush. Here are the top 10 finishers from Flight 1A of the Golden Rush:

  • NPS#3 EVENING SLAM DUNK 10 LAC GTD (RE)

Next up was the 10L GTD Evening Slam Dunk event. The tournament received a total of 1,535 entries creating a prize pool of INR 19,19,750 with a min. cash of INR 2,494 and 144 places paid. Poker reg, Sameer ‘Killersam’ Tavanandi  shipped the event and earned himself a payout of INR 3,22,350!

Umang ‘umang94’ Kakarania finished in second place and earned himself a payout of INR 2,26,028! Anonymous ID, ‘truman’ finished in third position for a payout of INR 1,46,592.  All players receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

  • NPS#4 SUNDAY MARATHON 25 LAC GTD (RE)

Next up was the feature event, 25L GTD Sunday Marathon! The tournament received a total of 832 entries creating a massive prize pool of INR 33,22,800 with a min. cash of INR 6,323 and 99 places paid.  Anonymous player, ‘Damage’ shipped the massive event for a payout of INR 5,91,052.

The one and only, Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved finished runner-up and earned himself a payout of INR 4,14,336 and Sanish ‘Sanish21’ Chhabra finished in third place for a payout of INR 2,67,571!  All players receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

  • NPS#5 NPS KICK-OFF 50 LAC GTD (FLIGHT 1B)

The penultimate event of Day 1 of the NPS was the Kick-Off 50L GTD Flight 1B. Flight 1B received a total of 382 entries and only 42 survivors were able to make their way through 27 levels and earn their spots in Day 2!

Deep ‘ChristopherCoke’ Patel ended Flight 1B with the chip lead with a stack of 4.1L in chips. Anonymous player, ‘CopyNinja’ finished second in chips with a stack of 3.32L! Let’s take a look at the Top 10 finishers from Flight 1B of the Kick-Off event:

The final event of Day 1 of the NPS was the 10L GTD Sprint event. The tournament received a total of 749 entries creating a prize pool of INR 14,98,000 with a min. cash of INR 3,295 and 90 places paid.

Poker reg, Anant ‘Pro_Pro’ Purohit  shipped the event and earned himself a payout of INR 2,51,672! Navdeep ‘Psychonaut’ Sahi finished in second place and earned himself a payout of INR 1,74,827! Prince ‘NaNki’ Singh finished in third position for a payout of INR 1,57,270. All players receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. 

So, that was how Day 1 of the National Poker Series panned out! Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who finished in Top 3 and made it to Day 2 of the multi-flight events. The battle for India’s first poker gold medalist has begun in some style and we’re sure the action is just going to get better and better!
