National Poker Series Day 5 Round-Up!

Ankit Wadhawan Claims NPS DEEPSTACK CHAMPIONSHIP for 10.65 LAC!

The National Poker Series worth INR 15 Crores GTD kicked-off on 13th June on PokerBaazi and we’re already past Day 5 of the series. It’s time to look back at who made the biggest impact on Day 5 of the NPS! 

  • NPS#27 RELAY (6-MAX) 2 LAC GTD (RE)

The first event of the NPS Day 5 was the NPS#27 Relay 6-Max 2 LAC GTD (RE) event. The tournament received a total of 1,197 entries creating a prize pool of INR 5,98,500 with a min. cash of INR 837 and 135 places paid.

Monish ‘Monish1221’ Annthem shipped the event and earned himself a payout of INR 86,591! Anonymous ID, ‘dontbluff’ finished in second place and earned himself a payout of INR 81,955! Anonymous ID, ‘morsmordre’ finished in third position for a payout of INR 48,469. All players receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. 

  • NPS#28 NPS GOLDEN RUSH 1 CR GTD (FLIGHT 1E)

The second event of the day was none other than the NPS Golden Rush 1CR. GTD Flight 1E! The fourth flight of the high value tournament received a total of 1,374 entries from which 121 players were able to survive 27 levels and earn their spots on the all important Day 2 of the Golden Rush. Here are the top 10 finishers from Flight 1E of the Golden Rush:

  • NPS#29 EVENING SPRINT 5 LAC GTD (RE)

Next up on NPS Day 5 was the NPS#29 Evening Sprint 5 LAC GTD  (RE) event. The tournament received a total of 1,273 entries creating a prize pool of INR 10,18,400 with a min. cash of INR 1,323 and 144 places paid.

Kunal ‘callmeifyoucan’ Yadav shipped the event and earned himself a payout of INR 1,45,928! Anonymous ID, ‘ghatakfox’ finished in second place and earned himself a payout of INR 1,45,130! Rohit ‘rohit22rm’ Mishra finished in third position for a payout of INR 77,805.

  • NPS#30 (7 MAX) NPS DEEPSTACK CHAMPIONSHIP 50 LAC GTD (RE)

The feature event of the day was the 50L GTD Deepstack Championship event. The tournament received a total of 800 entries, creating a prize pool of INR 60,00,000 with a min. cash of INR 11,400 and 99 places paid. The top 3 finishers were all top players from the poker industry.

Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhavan shipped the massive event for a payout of INR 10,65,600! Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja came 2nd for a payout of INR 7,47,000 while Naresh ‘Emperor457’ Veeravalli got the bronze for a payout of INR 4,82,400!

  • NPS#31 PLO SLAM DUNK 6 LAC GTD (RE)

The penultimate event of Day 5 was the PLO Slam Dunk 6L GTD event. The tournament received a total of 540 entries, creating a prize pool of INR 10,80,000, 63 places paid and a min. cash of INR 3,996.

Anonymous ID, ‘energetic52’ shipped the event for a payout of INR 2,09,844! Sankalp ‘Wobbegong’ Marwah  finished in 2nd place for payout of INR 1,47,096 while ‘somzprash’ finished in third place for INR 94,608! All players will receive gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

  • NPS#32 SPRINT 5 LAC GTD (RE)

The final event of Day 5 of the NPS was the 5L GTD Sprint event. The tournament received a total of 1,171 entries creating a prize pool of INR 11,71,000 with a min. cash of INR 1,639 and 135 places paid. Shashank ‘shazhank’ Choudhary shipped the event and earned themselves a payout of INR 1,96,962!

Chirag ‘miyagi’ Sodha finished in second place and earned themselves a payout of INR 1,38,060! ‘Bluffmaster055’ finished in third position for a payout of INR 89,581. All players receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. 

So, that was how Day 5 of the National Poker Series panned out! Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who finished in Top 3 and made it to Day 2 of the multi-flight events. The battle for India’s first poker gold medalist is beginning to take shape with only 10 more days of poker to be played.
