The competition was intense as the top 5 winners included the PokerBaazi Team Pro, Abhishek Panda.

The poker pro was the first to join PokerBaazi ProTeam. Known for his levelheaded play Panda has been constant in the poker arena for over 5 years now and has made online PLO cash games on PokerBaazi.com his primary focus. In addition to the multifarious titles, including wins of 1Lac GTD PLO and 3Lac GTD FREEZEOUT, he stood 5th in the last weeks Baazi Super Sunday.  He was two tables early when he claimed his chip lead and was successful in maintaining it to his advantage. He then advanced to the final table as the chip leader. But he wasn’t able to prolong his reign and lost a crucial hand, ace-king Vs ace-queen in the beginning stage of the final table play.

Final Table Action

He was two tables early when he claimed his chip lead and was successful in maintaining it to his advantage. He then advanced to the final table as the chip leader. But he wasn’t able to prolong his reign and lost a crucial hand, ace-king Vs ace-queen in the beginning stage of the final table of Baazi Super Sunday.

Panda is always gratified to qualify to the final table of the flagship Baazi tournament. Striving to navigate the play in his favor he said, “Would have loved to win this one which would have made it 3/3 in Super Sunday tournaments after winning the 1Lac GTD PLO and 3Lac GTD FREEZEOUT.”

Upon asking about his advice for strategy to be employed by online poker novices to succeed at the virtual table he said,”It’s true that online poker is different from live poker in a way that you don’t have the same live reads on your opponents but poker is poker at the end of the day and poker fundamentals are more applicable in online poker  as the sample size is much larger than live poker. Having said that the game flow and timing tell does influence the decision making in online poker”.
