The goliath of all poker events, the World Series of Poker is all geared up for 2020 and a new season of action-packed poker! The organizers recently announced the dates of their tournaments and we suggest you get planning!
The 2020 World Series of Poker will take place from May 26th to July 15th at the Rio All-Suites in Las Vegas. The headline event, i.e $10,000 buy-in Main Event Championship, will be held July 1st to July 14th. The first two days will witness the first three flights. All of the players who make it through Days 1A and 1B will play again on July 4th on Day 2AB. Players that survive Day 1C will go on to Day 2C on July 5th.
Both the fields are expected to merge on the 6th of July and players around the world will battle it out to reach the final table scheduled for the 10th of July. Following an off day on July 11, the Main Event final table will be televised from July 12th-14th. We are certain 2020 will gather a larger prize pool, crazier action and a massive paycheck!
In addition to the headline event, the WSOP has also announced the return of its signature event, the BIG 50 No-Limit Hold’em. The series with four starting flights are scheduled to begin from the 28th of May. The organizers reveal that the event comes with a $500 buy-in, 50,000 starting chips and 50-minute levels.
The third event confirmed is the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em Championship. Open to those age 50 and up, this single re-entry tournament will be held on the 18th of June and will witness its final table on the 21st.
While there are a host of other tournaments yet to be announced, it’s safe to say, ‘save the date’ to the poker community. Muster up that bankroll and book your tickets to the Sin City!
